It would be good to be able to select pages rather than just a range eg convert page 1,7,11 (1, 7 and 11) or 1..3, 9..15 (1 to 3 and 9 to 15)

add some conversion options to specify the quality of the conversion and the size of the image in pixels. This would allow you to control the file size and be good for producing images for web including thumbnails

Needs a back button to allow you to select the type of conversion after you have added the files

Provide the ability to make output size (pixels) and quality choices this will make it easier to reduce the file size and create images for emailing, thumbnails and web output etc.

How about conversion from PDF to vector graphics in SVG or even WMF/EMF format.

The program won't install for me because it cannot rename one or two of my .DLL files.

Needs a help file

It needs an actual help file. For example, what does the clean button do? Is the only way to find out to push the button? The help just takes you to the website, which does not appear to have any help info on it either.

Put all the images into a zip file (this is the format used by a lot of image viewers).

There are many comic / magazine viewers which take a cbz, cbr file (renamed zip file, and renamed rar file). These are much faster to load than a PDF and are great for use on a laptop. You just need the pages to be named in order, so rather than...

Preset configurations that you can change (DPI, range & format)

You could have settings for thumbnails, reading, full quality for example (the user can specify the name and settings, but there could be some preset values). When saving JPG files, there should be a setting for image quality rather than just DPI,...

Create an output HTML file which links all the images together.

You can just use a simple style format, or you could allow template file for more customization.

Suggest improvement

The 'Getting Started' screen should include one more instruction at position number 3 before converting: ie: 'Settings: Type in Page Range and change DPI if desired'

It would be nice if it had a command line utility.

Currently our business uses imagemagick for our command line conversions. It would be nice to have more options out there.

see the ability to convert to a word document directly and not as an image. I need to use content (usually not the entire page) in word documents and Powerpoint presentations. Today, this is a real hassle.

see this program convert PDF to a word document. This is needed if you want to use some content and not the entire page and if you want to add this to a Word document or Powerpoint slide.

I often find information on PDF documents that I would like to use. Simply converting a PDF file to a picture does not really help. The ability to select items and copy to Word or Powerpoint slides is really needed.
